Large-format classes often seem to resemble a cold sterile environment that brings little to the educational journey, often leaving the student and instructor disengaged. Utilizing i>clicker will develop an inquiry-based, learner-center pedagogy that allows the student to become engaged thereby rediscovering student voices. This webinar will explore the relationships between i>clicker use and student engagement via the rediscovery of student voices in a large-format classroom. Items to be discussed include student motivation, concept questions, lecture styles, proper question writing, and so forth. Additionally, best practices are presented which are shown to increase instructor engagement and enthusiasm and decrease attrition for all participants.
