Associate Professor Jennifer Ebbeler uses i>clickers throughout a class session to keep her students engaged. i>clicker provides an immediate source for feedback for her and her students and encourages students by confirming their acquired knowledge. Professor Ebbler models the thought process by working through a question using reasoning and previously learned concepts to arrive at an answer. With i>clicker, she runs polls to test her students’ knowledge on past and current concepts.

Time in class is now devoted to clarification of misconceptions, peer discussion, and extended understanding rather than repetition of mastered content. This webinar will identify and demonstrate some of the key i>clicker functions Professor Ebbeler uses to teach her 400-student, blended Introduction to Ancient Rome course.
